Walk, Ride, Fly, Swim—Orlando can get under your skin

Seasoned tourists recommend visiting the following destinations in and around Orlando when in Florida.

First thing first in Orlando, get into a Glass Bottomed Boat ride in Silver Springs and take a close look down on Florida's wildlife. Butterfly World is a must see if only to surround yourself with waterfalls, beautiful flowers, classical music, and, of course, world’s greatest collection of butterflies. 'Sunken Gardens' is another great place to enjoy Florida's beautiful flora and fauna. A visit to the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Orlando will introduce you to the world's largest and most comprehensive collection of Tiffany glass. Be an explorer find a star using the world's largest refractor telescope at the Orlando Science Center - and name it after your special someone. Take in Orlando via hot air balloon. Ride on a swan boat in Eola lake or whoosh through the Everglades National Park on an airboat. Useful resource: Orlando vacation

In addition to the well-known spots like Busch Gardens, Universal Studios, Epcot Center, and the like, there are many sightseeing opportunities in Orlando. The pick of the out of the way romantic and quaintly amusing bed and breakfast hotels in Orlando is the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne.

Orlando is a Walt Disney’s empire of childlike enjoyment

Like many people I relate Orlando to Disneyworld, but an Orlando vacation offers much more than Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Daffy and Donald Duck. Orlando is the perfect location to enjoy diverse things from horse-drawn carriage rides at dusk to romantic picnics in the park. It is he ideal choice for a romantic vacation as well as a fun-packed family tour. Surprisingly, there are 95 theme parks and major attractions in Orlando alone. Even before Walt Disney changed the face of Orlando, it was a popular vacation spot. Orlando's mild and sunny weather make it a great tourist destination round the year. There is no special season to see the stunning wildlife, tropical foliage, and beautiful flowers in Orlando, it is on show all year.

If you are looking for some off the beaten track destinations in Orlando that a family can enjoy apart from Disney World, there are money choices available in and around this Florida paradise. You can definitely choose a romantic getaway if you are a couple, but like many, I would prefer a few days of more quiet, intimate, relaxation.
